Jazz Journalism

The line that separates jazz journalist and jazz scholar has never been so finely drawn as either side might claim, and most of the important writing on jazz to date has been done by professional writers working for magazines and newspapers. Jazz Studies Online celebrates these journalists for their crucial contribution to what we know about this music, and the models they give us for writing and research. Their work will be a regular feature on this site.
